Role: Producer/Programmer Teammates: Vincent Chang, AJ Gonzalez, Brad Guerrero, Ittai Mann, Ryan N. Ward InstruMENTAL is 2 player arena brawler where animated musical instruments fight to the death with sound waves. Once a sound wave has been unleashed, it continues to echo around the arena, growing larger and damaging everyone it hits. It was made using Unity (in C#) for Global Game Jam 2017, a weekend-long game jam hosted around the world (including UC Irvine). The theme for the game jam was "waves", and we quickly came up with having a fighting game where players could use waves to knock each other off the stage. However, due to time constraints and playability concerns, we ultimately did not add this to the game.
